More DVSA Lies, and NASP say nothing about new badge costs.
After todays resuming of tests we find more lies by the DVSA.
Some of you may have noticed that they have updated the advice on appealing your driving test result on Gov.UK suggesting that you may have to give evidence at court (true), and that you may be liable for expenses. Can the DVSA name a single case where someone has challenged a test at court and had to pay expenses? Answer is NO because courts rarely make awards for costs in such cases.
Our inside sources tell us that this sudden panic is because the early ending of test when it has failed is totally illegal, and there is no provision for it to be ended in those circumstances by the DVSA.
The tests haven't been conducted according to regulations, the suggestion that they can be ended early for a serious fault is totally made up. Yet and the totally obvious attempt by the DVSA to dissuade people from holding them to account in magistrates court is an absolutely outrageous statement by a public organisation.
They are terrified that as soon as someone appeals a fail to court the flood gates will open.
We therefore encourage anyone who has a test ended early where the legal requirements haven't been fulfilled and no dangerous faults have been marked to use your right to appeal to magistrates court.
As for ADIs? The DVSA are still working on their sneaky plans to change the cost basis for the badge and the standards check. They refuse to consult with those actually on the register and hide behind NASP who are also keeping the plans secret. If you are a member of NASP organisation , ask why they haven't released the plans, or better yet leave them and join one of the organisations that really represents ADIs rather than kow-tows to the DVSA. The more people that boycott the NASP associations the worse their finances look. Vote with your feet!
It you find it totally outrageous that a public body publishes statements designed to prevent taxpayers from holding it to account by a magistrates court, and that there is no totally independent oversight of the DVSA then please sign this petition and encourage others to do so.
Together we will hold the DVSA and its management to account!
