Below I have written out the reasoning for this petition and provided some context, that I can only recommend you look into.
Originally I thought it was a good idea to ask Parliament for consideration of UK forces to be deployed on the ground to protect civilians and after discussing this with a few Palestinian's, it is apparent that they do not want any foreign troops on the ground in Palestine.
Palestinian's do not have any problem with the British people and welcome foreign help and visitors in general. Thank you.
Note for your records: I condemn the evidenced assault, killing, kidnapping and other atrocities committed by Hamas on, before and after Saturday, October 7th, 2023.
However I also (as you should) condemn the evidenced assault, killing, kidnapping and other atrocities committed by Israel, past and present.
I have created this petition in protest of our UK relations with Israel, due to the conflict ongoing within the Gaza Strip / State of Palestine and surrounding area of the Middle East.
I am greatly concerned for the people who live in the Middle East, especially so for Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and Iran.
My greatest concern is for the children, and other innocent civilians.
Israel are guilty of the following against human beings (summery):
- Dehumanization
- Unjustified imprisonment without trial
- Assault / Kidnapping
- Killing / Murder
- Cutting off water
- Closing all border crossings
- Stealing homes / land
- Occupation
- Collective punishment
- Lying and spreading false information
- Using disproportionate force while citing self defence
- Violating treaties regarding vulnerable individuals
- Intentional harm of protected persons
- Preventing access for independent journalism
- Preventing access for independent analysis of events
- Desecration and mutilation of corpses
- Preventing aid supplies
- Preventing fuel supplies
- Destroying aid supplies; causing more death & suffering
- Destroying Food sources; causing famine
- Destroying homes; causing displacement
- Destroying hospitals; causing health crisis
- Destroying sanitation facilities; causing disease / health issues
- Destroying waste management facilities; causing disease
- Destroying mosques; causing lack of safe places / sanctuary
- Destroying educational facilities; causing detrimental
- Destroying commercial properties; causing economic crisis
- Destroying animal care facilities; causing more death & suffering
- Destroying local vegetation, example Olive Trees; causing famine
- Destroying roads and vehicles; causing a logistical nightmare
These are some 30 examples in brief and there's more, however to keep this short, my point is that the inappropriate action taken by Israel is entirely unacceptable, and the UK needs to act!
If the tables were turned and these inappropriate actions were taken against Israel, Ukraine, or any western nation, the UK would NOT support it, and the UK would take action to prevent it.
If the situation does not change, the lives of millions are at stake.
On May 20th 2024, the International Criminal Court announces:
Applications for arrest warrants in relation to Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, of Israel.
Applications for arrest warrants in relation to Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri (Deif) and Ismail Haniyeh, of Hamas.
Please view this VIDEO for context, narrated by Richard Sanders.
Below, some quotes from the ICJ, dated 16th May 2024
"The right of self-defence does not give a state a license to use unlimited violence", nor can it "ever justify genocide."
Citing a 2004 ruling by the court, it was said "There is no right of self-defence by an occupying state against the territory that it occupies."
"The key point today is that Israel's declared aim of wiping Gaza from the map is about to be realized,".
This conflict did not start on October 7th and the UK Government is fully responsible for the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948.

Israel claim that their war is against one terrorist organisation, and their goal is to eliminate this threat, Hamas (established in 1987), with or without support by other nations. Yet they are in conflict with several dozen groups.
The highly aggressive military tactics being used by Israel will absolutely NOT achieve this goal in any amount of time, I'm 100% certain of this.
The reason why I'm certain of this. is simply that the action taken by Israel has been and will be, inspiring more people to rise up against them now and if they carry on, also in the future. People will take peaceful and violent action against Israel, this is not a threat, it is simply a factual statement.
It's important to consider that in 2017 the Hamas charter was revised and that their goal is not to exterminate all Jews. Hamas affirms that its conflict is with the Zionist project not with the Jews because of their religion.
It's also important to consider that Israel's Iron Dome air defence system is being targeted by various groups in the region that oppose Israel. The system cost millions to set up and maintain. People who oppose Israel and live in the Middle East consider fighting a resistance movement, with liberation in mind.
Eventually and inevitably, if Israel continues their aggression, the Iron Dome will either fail or be destroyed / disabled. The State of Israel will be highly vulnerable and western nations will either see the fall of Israel or intervene, meaning UK troops on the ground along with troops from other nations, such as the US.
On May 10th 2024, the UN General Assembly determined that the State of Palestine is qualified and should be admitted as a member to the UN.
The United Kingdom chose to abstain. You can view the full vote below...
Immediate action needs to be taken now to prevent escalation. The focus needs to be on diplomatic relations, and doing everything in our power to find a peaceful resolution, while also doing everything in our power to prevent harm to to civilians.
Kind regards,
Everyone who signs this petition
Be kind, stand for peace, justice and be excellent to each other!
