Lauren Young started this petition to Uk embassy in Qatar

We need your help to bring Conor back home to Scotland and stop him from being wrongly exradited back to Qatar on an administrative error.

Our aim is to get signatures as possible so we can the present the petition to the UK embassy in Qatar to urge them to liaise with the Qatari government to drop the warrant therefore allowing us to bring Conor home a free man!

Below is the story so far for those of you not already aware

 Conor's Story so far!

Most of you will know Conor was recently working in Australia. On his way home last year, Conor was stopped at the airport in Qatar and they searched his case and found an empty cannabis grinder. This grinder was a gift for a friend back home but had been used once or twice before, although it had been throughly cleaned before travelling. Conor was held in custody in Qatar for 7 hours then was let go once they sorted things out and we thought that the issue had been put to bed.

Since then Conor has been working in Cardiff and London and booked a week off work to go and visit his parents in Corfu. On Saturday 29th of August, Conor was stopped at Greek customs whilst on his way to Corfu. Little did we know the Qatari government have issued an international arrest warrant for drug trafficking and since Saturday he was been moved from a holding cell to a Greek prison. Adele and Robert have paid through the nose for Greek lawyers who have been almost no help whatsoever. They are wanting to take Conor back to Qatar to face prosecution and possibly jail time. The embassy have been contacted numerous times as we are sure this is an administrative error on their behalf and we are no further forward as of yet however hope to have some movement with them next week. We have family and friends helping from all over and have the help of MP Kenny Macaskill and Rahda Stirling who has helped so many people in situations like these aready working on helping to get the Qatari Governement to drop the warrant hopefully within the 20 days before Conor next appears at court.
