No animal is safe from the illegal animal parts trade. Not even the donkey. All over Africa, donkeys are being killed and their parts grounded down to make face cream and other "medicine". The face cream is then exported to China. The Chinese believe the cream from the donkey gives eternal beauty. The industry despite being relatively new is already worth millions. Ejiao ( Donkey-hide gelatin) is a crime against humanity.

China having killed nearly all of their donkeys has resorted to importing the animal from Africa. Donkey are stolen all over Africa and stored in the most horrific conditions prior to being slaughter. The donkeys are starved to the point that they picked through trash, a majority too weak to stand, many infected with herpes and aborted donkey fetuses are a common sight.

In Kenya alone, 100,000 donkeys have already been killed. Meanwhile, China has gone through 6 million already. 400 donkeys are killed on a daily basis. At this rate, the donkey will be consumed into extinction.

Many African countries have come to their senses by banning this horrific animal exploitation. But not Kenya who is the leading exporter. Please sign and share together we can save the donkeys from becoming a commodity.
