UF is one of the few major universities without a single library open 24 hours. While Newell Hall is open 24/7, Newell Hall is primarily a social study space that does not meet the needs of all students. A 24 hour Library would provide necessary study rooms, access to computers and better research opportunities. FSU, USF, FIU and FAMU all have a library that is open 24 hours Monday through Thursday. Before the pandemic Library West was open 24 hours, but that funding was stopped and has not been restarted.  With finals week approaching fast, the time for change is now!
