 Dear Sirs,

Yesterday I and the rest of the world woke up to crazy news! An insult to my belief: football is happiness, freedom, passion, fans and is for everyone. The idea of the move by 12 clubs in the top flight leagues, EPL, La Liga and Italian Serie A to form a perceived European Super league and ignore the other clubs in the named leagues and the rest, not only insults the game of football but also dumbonizes all the great supporters and lovers of this game.

"I fell in love with popular football, with the football of the fans, with the dream of seeing the team of my heart compete against the greatest, with the dream of seeing my team battle out with other teams fairly and be crowned European champions.I Ifthis European Super League advances, those dreams are over, the illusions of the fans, of the teams that are not giants of being able to win on the field competing in the best competitions will end. Could never see Leicester city having the same chance as Barcelona of winning a European trophy, Arsenal and Real Madrid might perfom dismally and finish at the bottom end but won't be relegated because they'll be enjoying some immortal powers, Southampton or Atalanta might win league titles but won't feature in European competition only because they were not ranked among the "thirst driven big teams.

This project is disgusting, not fair and I’m disappointed to see clubs I represented involved. I've always supported Chelsea all my life but I'm seeing that loyalty being tested now. I love football and I cannot remain silent about this, I believe in an improved Champions League, but not in the rich stealing what the people created, which is nothing other than the most beautiful sport on the planet. Kids grow up dreaming to win the World Cup and the Champions League – not any Super League. The enjoyment of big games is that they only happen once or twice a year, not every week. Really hard to understand for all football fans out there.”

It is with deep concern that we would like to seek your address and action in quelling this divisive Gospel and taking of adverse a d severe actions to ensure that this idea, do not see the light of the day. being the majority of stakeholders in the sporting industry we were not consulted or our opinions captured during the process of coming up with such an idea. I would like to point to you that even though this is a sporting activity, a game,  a business or something, we the fans play a big role in the success and stability of these perceived 'big clubs' and therefore had every right in being involved in such a decision and we are indeed disturbed that the thirst for MONEY appears to be more important to you than our support.

Whereby we recognize that there are rules and regulations regarding formation and joining of new leagues within the continent,we are saddened to note that the organizers felt that these rules and wonderful regulations are less important and that creation of a new league where the so called '15 founder members' will be immortals of the league and that the money earned in the new league to be more important than we the fans.  Surely, there comes a time when reason, logic, common sense overules regulations and rules and thirst for more money.

Sirs, we would like to see actions taken, doors knocked and brought down and everything done so as to preserve the dignity, the joy, the sensalizing experience the Ice cool_ ice land football as one Peter Drury would put it, and the universality and fairness of football.
