*Note- At this meeting approximately 120 neighbors attended and strongly objected to UDOT proposals to change our residential access street Hobbs Creek Drive in Layton, Utah UDOT please note that NOT ONE PERSON represented that they were in favor of the proposal to change our Hobbs Creek Drive as UDOT proposes in the study with Concepts 1 and 2. July 26, 2017 Agenda for Meeting with UDOT Welcome Recognize officials: Stuart Adams, Steve Handy, Mayor Stevenson, UDOT reps: Mark Asay, Mike Romero, and Larry Leasch a designer (recognize whoever else) _______________________________________________ Please keep the discussion civilized. We will show you on the map what we are seeing and UDOT will give us feedback. Then we will give them feedback. They are still in the planning stages and they are listening. Let us also listen to them. We want to thank Chris Crowder for his willingness to let us use their school and his time and effort and his help tonight. *Pass around collection can to help Layton Christian Academy with costs – Don’t like to ask people for money, but it does cost the school money to have us here. Items to discuss: 1. One-way vs. two-way frontage road 2. No exit north off of Hobbs Creek Dr. 3. Sound Walls 4. Using Hobbs Creek Drive as an off-ramp for SR-193, Hwy 89 and Valley View Drive – and as an on-ramp for access to Hwy 89 We are concerned about: 1. Shutting off neighborhoods 2. Decreased safety and potential for accidents 3. Decreased property values have Taylors and Woodbury tell their experiences 4. Extra emergency-response time 5. Increased traffic on Hobbs Creek Dr. 6. Increased mileage and travel time 7. Extra wear and tear on cars 8. Extra gas and oil usage and costs 9. Increased pollution 10. Overall inconvenience 11. Children walking to school - No bus service for school children 12. Speeding and what will the speed limit be? 13. Semi and Cargo trucks on the frontage road Question: When is the next Public Hearing scheduled in August?
