The classic UConn logo used from 2002 to 2013 is iconic and symbolic of the great success our University's athletic programs saw during this time period, especially in our basketball programs.

Our new logo was introduced just as our athletic programs were transitioning from the Big East Conference to the American Athletic Conference in 2013. Shortly after this transition, we began to see a sharp decline in the performance of our athletics programs that are nowhere near what our students, our alumni, and our fans know we're capable of. With a return to the Big East happening in less than a year, returning the old logo to the face of our athletic programs would help to bring back the culture and confidence that was there during the height of our success.
