We are current UCLA students and alumni who stand in support of Milan Chatterjee, the 2015-16 UCLA Graduate Student Association President. Milan felt compelled to leave UCLA and complete his final year of law school at NYU as a result of the UCLA Administration's targeting him and publicly blaming him after he dared to stand up to the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) Movement and insist that the GSA remain neutral on the BDS issue. For nine months, Milan has been cruelly smeared, targeted, and bullied by the BDS Movement. We call on UCLA Chancellor Gene Block to issue a public apology to Milan and rescind the shameful and defamatory report about Milan issued by the university’s Discrimination Prevention Office, which was authorized and approved by Vice Chancellor Jerry Kang.
