2020 has been tough on the entire world whether that be as a result of the global pandemic, economic recession, political unrest, or family responsibilities. Although the majority of students applying to UCs may be 17-22, they may have lost loved ones due to COVID-19, a source of income due to the economic recession, and/or a sense of normalcy as they try to navigate these intense times. The enormous amount of stress applicants are feeling right now in their day to day life makes submitting the UC application in one month both inconsiderate and unreasonable. Students deserve more time to turn in their best work.
