They are trying to implement a $5 increase for the monthly permits, and they claim that this increase is necessary due to their "facilities operating at capacity," while simultaneously selling more permits than there are spaces available on campus. TAPS claims that these fees are to increase stack parking on campus, while simultaneously investing in programs that reduce the number of people driving to campus. How fair is a fee increase to those students that commute onto campus? There are options that TAPS has not considered before immediately increasing student fees. This petition would call for TAPS to:

1) Revoke their fee increase

2) Explain where the current parking permit money goes

3) Explain how the fee increase would improve the current parking situation
