Add Competitive Multiplayer Support To Far Cry 4's Map Editor.
The Issue
Hello. I adressing this letter & petition to Ubisoft Montreal and it's CEO Yannis Mallat. Many loyal customers, and fans of the Far Cry video game series are upset that the map editor for Far Cry 4 does not give the ability for users to create competitive multiplayer maps, such as was possible in previous Far Cry titles. Giving players the ability to create there own custom content and modifications to games is an exciting feature that offers players a whole new level of excitement in comparison to games that do not. It is great that a map editor was included for the game. However, it is very disappointing and a huge letdown to many of your loyal fans and customers that your map editor has restricted the possibility of creating multiplayer maps in which they can share, explore, and compete against each other in, the same ways that they were able to in titles such as Far Cry and it's other sequels. So much of your fan base desires this, and was expecting it out of Far Cry 4, such as I being one of those fans. This was such a disappoint to me that it lead me to not purchase the title, as I feel that flexible, high-featured custom content tools are an important aspect of FPS titles that SHOULD be included. This is especially true in how I feel for a game in the Far Cry series which has been well know for its maps of open area exploration, and incredibly realistic landscape. I as well as many others feel as there is no valid reason to have neglected to put this feature in the map editor. We all know that it is very possible, and not likely very difficult to incorporate. Please bring back competitive multiplayer compatibility such as deathmatch, team deathmatch, etc back to your Map Editor. It's one change. and it would easily make the game go from very good to absolutely incredible, and increase its re-playability by a drastic amount. I believe it would also increase the demand for the game.
Sincerely,
Caleb Slocumb & Many Other Loyal Fans
