The Issue

With the release of AC Origins, more and more people are back into the grind of enjoying the AC franchise, and bringing Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines to life again would be reigniting a wild and passionate spark in the fan base thus flocking in old and new fans of the franchise to the hopefully re-mastered game, which will also inspire those who did not get a chance to play it (such as myself) and or may never have heard of it, to discover/rediscover the mysterious, deep, perspective changing and truly significant storyline.

The game would be available for next generation consoles and PC.

Why Ubisoft needs to re-master Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines

  • Lets us face it, AC 1 started it all, more accurately, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad started it all. His story in both AC1 and BL paved the way for them earning their place as one of the most comprehensive and developed games of the franchise. This is mainly because of the enticing yet complicated characters and scenarios, which were so fleshed out and offered many concepts, beliefs, motivations and ideologies that vexed your very mind and made you think!
  • Excluding AC Origins, this is where the Templar ideology and Assassin ideology was truly born. This is where the Templar and Assassin war is at its most true, authentic, prime and honest form because it was the first of the series and all hands were on deck to express the plots meaning to audience.
  • The effect of this game to players is most profound but here is the catch, Ubisoft made a sequel titled Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines. Ubisoft made this sequel only available to a select audience at the time (PSP & PS3) and what my point is, is to have the game completely re-mastered in terms of its graphics, game play, story, etc. I want the entire game redone but still kept the same as it is but just improved drastically in all areas. Even so, having the game re-mastered is one thing but in the end, it must be available for all players on different platforms (Xbox One, PS and PC) because it simply is not fair or just to have part of AC fandom divided because a game is chosen only for a certain platform; there is no real logic to it because why deny enthusiastic players the chance to continue perhaps their favourite assassin's story? Why only a select audience when you could turn it into a full game and give it to all audiences thus bringing in more profit as well? This is not the first time either... AC Liberation, Benedict Arnold DLC, AC Syndicate Dreadful crimes DLC, etc. Things need to change and this is the first proper step to that rightful change!
  • The game can even include new ways to play it such as navigation i.e. exploring the Cyprus countryside and discovering new locations and also learning the history surrounding the country and current time period. Also, new side missions can be added that focus on the story and outside of the story giving more depth to the game. Perhaps even a multiplayer and coop system could be implemented; I have always enjoyed pretending to be a part of the Levantine brotherhood and carrying out missions to serve the cause and take out targets in the Holy land, I just loved the fact of being a part of something and working together as a team of Assassins to carry out a task. Plus, coop was fun as hell in AC Unity!  We need multiplayer back!
  • Certain advancements in later AC games can be implemented into the game, i.e. swinging from a hanging sign whilst free-running, more capabilities during combat, horse riding in the city, deeper side missions, using the crossbow! etc.
  • You can also bring back what was taken out i.e. eavesdropping and pickpocketing (I am not saying constantly use them but have it in there anyway as that is what the Assassin's mission can entail!) and also Eagle vision.
  • The list goes on but the potential for revamping this glorious medieval era is there!
  • Perhaps with the new founded origins of the Assassins and proto-Templars (Order of Ancients) in AC Origins, the lore and easter egg elements can be built upon to connect the 3 games (AC Origins, AC 1 & AC BL), the same way Ubisoft did with AC Lineage when they wanted to bridge the gap with AC 1 and AC 2. In addition, the typical player of AC would believe the Assassins are always the good guys as they're consistently painted as such and the Templars are the ever so bad side of the two warring factions. True, AC games have brought the Templars into the light and showed players that they do care about humanity and are in service to the greater good for a more structured, secure and stable world. I believe the Templars deserve more time in the spotlight to truly emphasise the logic, truth and  merit to what they speak of because they do not do what they do for the sheer sake of it but for a real purpose motivated by a realisation of the world around them; Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines is a convenient and perfect vessel to showcase the Templar views and perhaps even question the tenets of the Assassin's Creed and how flawed it is. I know the game does act on this quite well but I believe more is needed to actually ensure players of the game do get a comprehensive understanding of both sides of the same coin. Basically vamp up the Templar's truths!
  • You can bring back Jesper Kyd to redo some of the tracks for the OST and create new ones inspired by the old one, and keeping to the games theme because most of the OST for AC 1 and BL was of the same stuff and overused in almost every part of the games. More tracks deserve to be made in order to echo the nature of that medieval era, the Assassin Brotherhood, the Templar Order, Cyprus, the two cities (Limassol and Kyrenia), the characters themselves such as Altair and Armand Bouchart and the overall essence of the Templar/Assassin conflict.
  • Maybe a modern day element can be added in thus furthering and connecting the story with Desmond at Abstergo during his current time there since he is presumably there as he firstly experienced Altair with Abstergo?

Join me my fellow Assassins and Templars!

'I will travel to the distant land of Cyprus to dispose of the remaining Templars before they rebuild their Order ad hunt us again. I am Altair. I am an Assassin'. -Altair Ibn-La'Ahad.

My email: finnsharplesmurray@gmail.com should Ubisoft wish to contact me regarding this and on a personal note, I would take great pleasure in working on this project if it is to be done. I know I can provide for game in all its aspects in strict terms of premise, story, who, what, where, when, why, how and functions (not the technical side but how something can be shown/done).
