It's Time for a New Rainbow Six Siege Ranked System!

The Issue

Before I begin, I would like to say that this is a petition for those who are long standing members of the Rainbow Six Siege Community, but are getting tired of the poorly managed Ranked System. If you believe this petition doesn't speak to or for you, then please do not discriminate or post negatively towards this as I want this to be a clean petition and I want this to be taken seriously.

As someone who has been playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege for three years now, it has dawned on me that the Ubisoft's ranked system favours the more skilled/lucky players in the community. Siege's ranked system is based on a "Uncertainty Level", meaning the less playtime you have per season, the less certain the system is about your true skill. Uncertainty Level may seem like a good idea, but when you put into factors such as poor match making, "Smurf Accounts" and players with toxic intent, this system is actually working against the players whom actually want to improve their ranks.

Putting it simply, when you first begin your ten games at the start of the season, you're placed in match making against other players in the same state, unranked, therefore there is a good chance of you getting stuck with, A) toxic teammates (If you don't have a full squad) and B) Smurf Accounts, this causes the Uncertainty Level to completely be derailed because despite you're natural skill at the game, you've had a bad start and now you're possibly at a really low rank (Copper, Bronze or low Silver).

Now that you're possibly a low rank, despite your skill to potentially be a high rank, this is where the failure of the Uncertainty Level kicks in.

Yes you might be earning more points to make the grind easier (via the Uncertainty Level), but you're also losing more too and even though your wins are gaining you lots of points, you been matched with toxic players doesn't actually make it any easier, at this point you're playing twice as much just to achieve a decent rank due to the loses taken because of the toxicity you're experiencing. 

Now we look at the later half of the season, at this point, if you've grinded enough hours, there's a good chance you're mid silver to low gold. Sure this sounds great, but for alot of players, they feel they could be much higher, probably in the high gold to low plat range, but they aren't there and guess what, they won't get there because there isn't enough time left in the season to hit that rank.

Uncertainty Level is that very reason, because now, with 2-3 weeks left you're stuck at 20 points a game and if you do the math, it takes 40 wins to get from gold 4 to plat 3 (If you're stuck with 20 points a game). This means you're stuck at a rank you feel you don't deserve all because of the Uncertainty Level.

Now that my large explanation is over, I'd like to show my new Ranked System idea. Essentially it's very simple and very fair, this ranked system will give all players an equal opportunity to gain the rank they deserve.

Let's start off with Points Per Win;

(This will be charted for a better explanation)

Game Won by 1 round (5-4 OT) 50 Points 

Game Won by 2 rounds (4-2/5-3 OT) 60 Points

Game Won by 3 rounds (4-1) 70 Points

Game Won by 4 rounds (4-0) 80 Points

Now for Points Deducted Per Loss;

Game Lost in OT (Either by 1 or 2 rounds) 0 Points Lost

Game Lost by 2 rounds (2-4) 30 Points Lost

Game Lost by 3 rounds (1-4) 50 Points Lost

Game Lost by 4 rounds (0-4) 70 Points Lost

Points at end of match or spot on leaderboard do not play a role in your ranked points, but the rank of your opposing team does!

Additional Points System;

1: Game Won against 3 or more players of at least 3 ranks higher (Gold 4 Squad beats a Gold 1 Squad) 15 Additional Points 

2: Game Won against 3 or more players of at least 3 ranks lower (Gold 4 Squad beat a Gold 1 Squad) 0 Additional Points

3: Game Lost against 3 or more players of at least 3 ranks higher (Gold 4 Squad beat by a Gold 1 Squad 15 Less Points Lost (I.E if lost by 2 rounds you'd only lose 15 points instead of 30)

4: Game Won against 3 or more players of a complete tier higher (Gold 4 Squad beats a Plat 3 Squad) 20 Additional Points

5: Game Won against 3 or more players of a complete tier lower (Plat 3 Squad beats a Gold 4 Squad) 0 Additional Points

6: Game Lost against 3 or more players of a complete tier higher (Gold 4 Squad lost to a Plat 3 Squad) 20 Less Points Lost (I.E if you get swept 4-0 you'd only lose 50 points instead of 70)

In addition to #6 the points system would stay the same even if they're more than one tier higher (I.E lost to a squad that was Gold, but you're squad is just silver)

Before this is complete I also want to add one more idea that needs to be apart of this!

Unfair Loss;

If a player on the losing team leaves at any point in the game and doesn't return, the losing team will lose 25 Less Points (I.E if a squad mate leaves or gets disconnected and cannot join back and you lose by 4 rounds, you will only lose 45 points instead of 70) this will overrule the opposing rank factor.

I would like to say thank you in advance to all who sign this and support this idea! I think if Ubisoft adapts this style into Ranked, it would be alot easier to maintain and players who get in bad situations due to the toxicity of some of the community won't have to be stuck with bad expectations each season!
