Supporters, you did it! Our voices have been heard and the Govt. of Delhi had decided to keep their decision upfront to continue banning Surge in Ola/Uber even after Odd-even phase 2 ends. Transport minister Gopal Rai said government will soon come out with a policy to regulate app-based taxis and their fares. Even chief minister Arvind Kejriwal attacked cab service providers for over charging on twitter. "We are not against taxi aggregators. We fully support them. They provide imp service to people. But they will have to follow law," Kejriwal said. Since the second phase of odd-even began on Friday, around 50 cabs from service providers like Uber and Ola has been impounded by the government. Meanwhile, facing criticism, Ola said that the company is working towards ensuring the availability by increasing the number of cabs. It also announced free rides on its shuttle services on the remaining Fridays in the odd-even period. Good Move by Ola here! On the other hand, Uber is sending SMS to 'bear with them' in shortage of cabs. Please share this on all Social Networks to more support. I have been reading comments lately and people are asking status for other states as well. I would suggest you to continue supporting this and one day, I am sure our voices will be heard Nationwide. Thanks
