Dear People of Delhi & Bengaluru, We have got immense support from people across the country for the petition against Uber for their surge pricing policy. I am really thankful to all of you who supported us in this long journey. In recent news, after a single warning of Chief Minister of Delhi , Uber and Ola have TEMPORARILY (Yes, it is temporarily) taken back surge pricing "to make off-even successful". We really appreciate the step taken by them. Delhi, does this make you happy? This was never the motive of the petition - to temporarily take back surge pricing. We want a permanent solution and that too NATIONWIDE. If they can take back this temporarily and do something for 15 days during odd-even phase 2 , Why can't they do it permanently? Karnatka has recently banned Surge pricing(as shared in the previous update) but many people are claiming that surge pricing is still prevailing in Bengaluru. On ahead of it, they are sending Emails to each of their users in Bengaluru about how much money surge pricing has saved them. It's funny how a single threat from a leader of a Capital city of India can set them back to stop surge and in the other states, they are trying to make their customer 'emotional' telling them about how surge was helpful for them. Why are they showing two-sided face? There are many who are criticizing our petition and it's okay. They have right to do the same and nobody can stop them. After all, we cannot make everybody happy.
