In the recent news, Uber has slashed its fare in Chennai to compete with others. The article also tells about our petition on which Ola Cabs director of marketing communications has responded saying Peak pricing is different for different categories of vehicles in different zones. This way, the customer has a choice. Also, it is to be noted that Uber has yet not responded anything on this. We do not feel satisfied at all with such response. They do not want to change surge policies. We just want Taxi companies to regulate the Surge Pricing. There should be limits for everything- Area, Time and Upper Limits on surge.
