I am super happy to see more than 2000 people signing this petition which is definitely going to make an impact. These 2000 people are not mere Uber customer but they are unhappy customer who have got a platform to speak against the unnecessary money taken out of their pockets. I have spoken to an Uber driver today morning and told him about this petition. He gave me few more details are I believe should be shared with you all. He told me that they intentionally stay in surge area since their app shows the amount of surge an area offers to earn more money. To my surprise, he also told me many drivers intentionally create a surge in area by asking their friends in and around a particular area to login to Uber and look for a particular type of cab. As the system automatically feels many of the users are now looking for a single type of car in a particular area and thus it put the particular area under surge. None of the friends book the cab but the plan to create surge in that area becomes successful. Share this story with your friends and family who use Uber.
