Hazard pay for Rideshare drivers during the COVID-19 pandemic

Hazard pay for Rideshare drivers during the COVID-19 pandemic
The Issue
There are many rideshare drivers that have lost a substantial amount of income after "non-essential" businesses and workers have closed in Las Vegas (and around the country). The majority of our income in Las Vegas is dependent on tourism and local non-essential workers everyday (casino, students, tourist, etc). As rideshare drivers for Uber and Lyft, we are considered "essential" and, therefore, still driving during the COVID-19 pandemic with passengers encased in a car. Before the city shut down, we were still picking up international tourist who may or may not have been exposing us to the virus. Since there is no tourism and businesses are closed, rideshare drivers who depend on the Las Vegas economy have taken a big hit.
Uber is only offering to pay drivers sick pay if they have official documentation to be quarantined from the CDC or a health professional. But most of us have been potentially exposed to the virus since the last convention was the international Construction Expo. We are considered as "gig" workers and do not qualify for unemployment or small business loans. Yet, Uber still has the platform available and are still taking Service/Booking/Transportation fees from the drivers who are out risking their lives and keeping their company going.
I am proposing Uber and Lyft to: 1. pay all their drivers in hard economically hit cities hazard pay for hours driven during this national pandemic 2. stop taking fees on rides the drivers complete during the pandemic, or (3) change the requirements for sick leave pay for drivers who desire to "self-quarantine" (since hospitals and Dr offices are only testing people with severe cases and many drivers may be exposing themselves daily). Currently, Uber requires official documentation before a driver can be paid.
