Hello Everyone,
Thanks to over 17,000 signatures, we have achieved a great accomplishment that is still growing. This petition was again featured in a news article on March 31, 2023! I believe that this petition will make a difference one day, and I thank you all for signing and contributing!
When people see and use delivery app services, it’s hard to miss the presence of the giant tech companies that own and run them. Unfortunately the people that are making these deliveries are an afterthought, if any. These are the people that make the least- and are the ones putting in the long hours, miles, and physical work to get the deliveries from the business, to the customer. It sounds easier than the reality of being in the driver’s seat, in any weather or traffic condition, in any time of day or night. I’m glad to be a help to those that deserve more for what they provide- an invaluable and sorely underappreciated service.
I have a request, if it is not too much to ask. I have a Gofundme below that could actually have the potential to make a huge impact on my life. I too, am a delivery driver as many of you might know- and I have suffered huge losses having my car repoed and sold- with all of my clothes and personal belongings inside. I never was given the chance to obtain my items. That is beyond unfair. It’s plain wrong and immoral.
The goal is to replace my vehicle, my personal belongings, and establish a living situation, as I had been living in my car for some time, trying to rebuild and work as a delivery driver- something I was and am very good at. I believe the right people will see this, and that my endurance of being homeless now on the street still fighting and not giving up- will be rewarded with a miraculous turnaround. The cost of everything has skyrocketed, and I humbly ask you to help me reach this goal set!
