Hello!
So we have reached the milestone of over 16,000 signatures, with this petition being viewed well over 100,000 times! Thank you all for your support in making a difference in the way delivery apps treat the customers, small businesses, and deliverers! There is no way we would be here without all of your support!
In December 2022, UberEats and Grubhub settled lawsuits that alleged unfair businesses practices such as deceptive marketing practices, and promotions, hidden fees, and imitating small businesses on their app platforms, among other things:

These actions directly impacted and deceived customers, and small businesses- costing them money and for the small businesses- driving them into the ground; all while padding their bottom line.
These settlements are a confirmation that what I have experienced and seen as a delivery driver- is very true, and more can be done to hold these companies accountable. They pay executives millions so they can live lavishly, own multi-million dollar homes-meanwhile deceiving customers and small businesses, and reaping the benefits of big profits at other’s expense.
The deliverers are the ones making sure the goods are being brought to their destinations. They’re being paid cents per mile and hour for wait time and gas. They’re barely able to fill their tanks after hours of delivery, on average. What do they get out of it besides gas in their tanks, while these multi-billion dollar companies become more wealthier off of their hard work?
What about their health, homes, families? People deliver to provide for themselves, and for a better life. If no one delivered, there would be bedlam, and despite what some may think- Delivering IS a job: a perilous, difficult, and under-appreciated one at that!
This isn’t right. Customers should not be deceived, and neither should small businesses.
We have the power to make an impact and change this. This petition is still alive and gaining momentum. Our voices can make the difference!
I believe that one day soon we will achieve an acknowledgment from these companies that what this petition stands for- needs to be addressed, and that drastic changes are made to the way customers are charged, small businesses are treated when working with these delivery apps- and last but not least the way deliverers are treated and compensated!
God bless you, and Happy New Year!
