H.R. 2893 is a bill that was introduced in Congress and Prohibits foreign military financing program assistance to any country that votes in the U.N. General Assembly in favor of recognizing a Palestinian state in the absence of a negotiated border agreement between the government of Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA). Authorizes the President to waive such prohibition on a case-by-case basis upon a certification to Congress that a waiver is in the U.S. national interest. If the General Assembly votes in favor of the Palestinian State before the negotiations of the borders then it will cause even more tension and pressure on the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority because the movement will force hasty decisions which could lead to more violence, which is something that no one wants.

S.923 is a bill to withhold Uninted States contributions to the United Nations until they formally retract the final report of the "United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict." These findings were proven to be wrong and if the United Nations still holds on to them, they are being biased against Israel. 

Bills like these are necessary to make and to approve at this time in our country because with everything going on (Iran nuclear crisis, Arab Spring-new government institutions, etc.) proving our support of Israel and showing that support to other countries will prove to be a giant step forward in our foreign relations.
