One out of six children in the United States is food insecure, and statistics show hungry children struggle with academic performance, attendance and behavior at school.

The National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program serve 30 million meals daily to school children across America. Millions who can’t pay get free or reduced-price meals so they don’t go hungry.

Unfortunately, Members of Congress have proposed a drastic change to the funding formula for school meals that could mean less money, fewer meals served, and more hungry children.

Join the fight to "Stop the Block: Protect our Children, Preserve School Meals" today. Tell Congress Block Grants for school meals is a dangerous idea that could put millions of school children at risk.

The Stop the Block Coalition, a project of the School Nutrition Association, has been organized to prevent harsh and unnecessary changes to federal school meal programs. Please join the Stop the Block Coalition today.
