Emergency Attention Is Required In The Nigerian Health Sector.

The Nigerian health sector has been in a sorry state for many years due to a lack of interest in its development on the part of the public office holders (serving politicians).

Currently, resident doctors in Nigeria are on strike (see Aljazeera News). Strike of this nature has been incessant in Nigeria because attention is not given to the request of the health officials.

Nigerian serving politicians must be forced to do the right thing because it seems they are incapable of focussing on the important issues concerning the general populace unless it becomes extremely imminent.

By signing this petition, going to the embassies, national assembly, or house of representatives of the countries where Nigerian serving politicians often make medical travels, you will be forcing them to do the right thing.

This petition is appealing to the countries where the Nigerian public officers visit for medical treatment to stop allowing any public office holder from visiting their hospitals for medical treatment. The visa of any public office holder in Nigerian should be suspended throughout his or her services duration, and no new visa should be issued to them.

Nigerian public officers should attend seminars and conferences online for the next ten years. They should only be issued entry visas only when the Nigerian health sector is revamped, well equipped, and health workers are well renumerated by international standards and practices.

This is placing an emergency on the Nigerian health sector for the next 10 years.
