Heather Keen started this petition to U.S. Senate and

The cat feeders and houses that were at Grants Supermarket for the feral cat population were taken away from them in the middle of winter. It is believed that a man working for a person on the town counsel did this. The reason behind it was that someone had left a few empty cat food cans lying around where the cats gather to be fed.

Then a few days ago the cat caretakers were threatened by police officers to be ticketed for feeding the cats. There are approximately 15 cats and kittens there whose lives depend upon receiving food from their caretakers. This town is planning on slowly killing these cats by starvation, and by lack of adequate shelter.

The reasoning for this is that someone left a few cans of cat food on the ground. All the while there is litter everywhere in this town. Those litter bugs remain unscathed. All the town counsel of Richlands seems to care about is not feeding ducks and cats.

Please help us change the laws in this county and town, so that, these disadvantaged cats will not meet a tragic, unnecessary end. Please sign and share so that these feral cats can get their homes back,  and their caretakers can resume feeding them. Thereby, avoiding a tragic and unnecessarily painful end to the lives of these 15 cats and kittens.
