Thousands of people commit suicide each year as a result of using prescription drugs that carry a FDA Black Box suicidal warning. The FDA states that the risk of suicide is greatly increased for young adults under the age of 24 who are using these powerful anti-depressants. My daughter Rebecca committed suicide at age 22. She was taking two anti-depressants, both carrying the FDA Black Box suicidal warning. In November of 2013, after studying at a UGA campus library, Rebecca texted her boyfriend at about 5pm to come pick her up. Moments later, she texted him again saying to never mind, she'd walk or take the bus home. She even put a smiley face at the end of the text. :) She then took the bus to a store not far from her house, bought several sleep aids, and went down to a nearby creek. There she consumed the sleep aids, walked into the creek, sat down, placed her arms over her chest, leaned back into the water, and let herself die. She lay in the cold creek water all night, dying of hypothermia as a result, but she was lured to the creek and induced to take her life by the suicidal effect of the anti-depressants.
