November 5, 1917

Jailed for peacefully protesting outside the White House, Alice Paul and Rose Winslow begin a hunger strike, and one week later, are subject to force-feeding three times...just for campaigning for suffrage for women.

Thank you Alice Paul and other Suffragists for enduring, for suffering, for sacrificing, for winning women the official, Constitutional right to vote (19th Amendment).

Alice Paul wrote and launched the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in 1923.  The ERA still is not in the Constitution. (95 years later)   Passing and ratifying the ERA now will elevate women to official, Constitutional Equality with men. Why do we still allow girls to be born with only the right to vote? Boys are born with ALL Constitutional Rights.

Please sign and share this petition calling on the U.S. Senate and House to pass and ratify the Equal Rights Amendment.

One action we can take now to honor the November 5th, 1917  anniversary of Alice Paul's and Rose Winslow's hunger strike is to sign the ERA petition.   We stand on the shoulders of such giants.

THANK YOU FOR SIGNING. Feel free to share with others.

Onward, from having one Constitutional right today to having them ALL.

Why not? U.S. women should not have to endure living in 2018 as second class citizens.
