The Yellow Roses ERA
Jul 13, 2018
Hello, Over 950 people of all ages have signed this Online ERA Now! petition. YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. Thank you. Many also added reasons why they signed. We will begin sharing some of those reasons. Here is one comment written on our ERA Now! petition: "The battle to ban sex discrimination at the polls took so long that of all those who attended the first Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, NY, in 1848, only one, Charlotte Woodward Pierce, was still around on Election Day 1920, the first General Election after ratification of the 19th Amendment in August. The battle for the E.R.A. is also a multi-generational struggle that has already taken 21 years longer than the 72-year campaign for the vote, so it’s great to know that some members of your generation are eager to become the newest links in our chain that goes back to Alice Paul in 1923, and forward to the victory party !" The photo shows Grade 9 students teaming up with the leadership of http://suffrage100ma.org to strategize ways to both celebrate the 2020 one hundredth anniversary of Suffrage and hopefully also the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. We got this. Thanks again for signing, and please share the ERA Now! petition link on your social media. https://www.change.org/p/u-s-senate-ratify-the-equal-rights-amendment It's GO TIME for the ERA, The Yellow Roses (students for Equal Rights for ALL especially for women) Quincy, MA
