"Many people mistakenly believe that women do possess all the same rights before the law as men..." This sentiment appears in a 1944 pamphlet which we discovered recently while doing some ERA historical research. We found the pamphlet on the Alice Paul Institute web site. It is titled "Women as Persons Under the Constitution," and was authored by Florence A. Armstrong in 1944. The passage concludes by stating: "Most people probably approve and desire such guarantees for women. They should be more active in support." To which we add: Yes. It's Go Time for the ERA.
