Thank you so very much for signing the Online Petition to Pass and Ratify the ERA. For that, you deserve a virtual yellow rose. Yellow roses were symbols of Women's Suffrage. Sadly, after winning the right to vote in 1920, U.S. women have not been able to get the other rights which men enjoy in the Constitution. The ERA will fix that. It's GO TIME for the ERA. Besides creating this petition, The Yellow Roses (student group) have been trying to raise awareness of the lack of women's rights in the Constitution by getting out and: 1. meeting with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and with Megan Costello of the Mayor's Office for Women's Advancement…Megan wrote this: "Meeting with The Yellow Roses made my whole year. I love meeting young women ready to take on the world." 2. corresponding with Tennessee women's rights activist Paula F. Casey who sent this message: " I am so proud of these students! The suffragists would be proud as well! I am going to share this with others who value suffrage history and who are fans of Alice Paul's. We are unveiling a statue of Sue Shelton White in Jackson, TN, in front of City Hall on May 25 at 2 pm. "Miss Sue" helped author the ERA with Alice Paul.
