The United States uses flawed and insecure voting systems that have been widely discredited and leave our democracy open to attack.

In order to protect American elections, Congress must do more than pay lip service.  It is time to act.  Now introduced in the U.S. Senate, the Protecting American Votes and Elections Act incorporates two key provisions for enhanced election integrity - paper ballots and risk limiting audits.  This is a non-partisan solution to a non-partisan issue, and the federal government has the unquestionable authority to mandate such election law by Article 1, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.  We can no longer afford to wait for future aggressions on our voting, the cornerstone of our democratic republic.  Demand that your senator support the Protecting American Votes and Elections Act.  While democracy does not begin with elections, it can end when we fail to defend them.
