Put pressure on your local representatives to pass 

new gun control laws to end school shootings.

For the first time in years, school shootings stats have decreased. Only due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It’s shocking to think that we needed a global pandemic to reduce America’s gun violence epidemic.  

But we can’t depend on Covid Lockdown to protect our children. We need to pass new gun control measures. 

Last march, the House approved a pair of bills aimed at expanding and strengthening background checks for gun buyers. 

The bill would require background checks of sales between private individuals, with the actual checks to be conducted through the federal system at licensed gun dealers — closing the so-called “gun show loophole” that specialists say allows sales to felons, domestic abusers or others who are prohibited from owning firearms.

Despite being widely popular with voters, the measures face what is expected to be insurmountable opposition in the Senate.

But we can’t wait another minute. 

The Senate needs to address the epidemic of gun violence in this country.
