Why we need to legalize Marijuana:

1. People want to and it won't kill you

Two-thirds of Americans support the legalization of marijuana and it is proven to be less harmful than alcohol.

2. Making marijuana illegal was rooted in racism

Marijuana laws were first created due to fear of immigration from Mexico. 

3. Keeping marijuana illegal helps racists be racist

According to the ACLU, Black Americans are nearly 4x as likely to be arrested for marijuana than White Americans, despite similar usage rates.

4. Keeping marijuana illegal hurts the economy

It's harder for Americans with criminal records to find a job and get an education.

5. It would save and make money

Legalizing Marijuana in the United States would save nearly $14 billion. By taxing marijuana the same way we do cigarettes and alcohol, local governments could bring in about $6 billion a year.
