Yesterday Mr. Trump told Lester Holt he intended all along to fire Comey. His acting Press Secretary Huckabee also acknowledged it was done to stop the investigation and they believe they have accomplished that goal. This morning Mr. Trump tweeted an unmistakable threat to Mr. Comey like some mob boss. He told Mr. Comey, he had better not have been recording their conversations. Equally disconcerting is the fact that the Attorney General may have violated several laws and be at rick for loosing his license, disbarment and criminal charges for working with Mr. Trump on this, after having publicly recused himself from the investigation. Still the Republicans in Congress refuse to act. They say they are perfectly capable of handling this within their own investigations. However, there are numerous rumors and anecdotal evidence that this scandal reaches well into the Republican party as well. Their continued refusals against demands from the public and the Democrats in Congress do not sit well when transparency is required and demanded. We are fast approaching the 75K mark on our signatures. That's remarkable. This is bigger than Watergate and in order for our country to recover when the dust settles we need to know our representatives are acting in our best interests. It is time for a Special Prosecutor and an independent investigation. Please, it is very important you get this out to every one you know. We need the power of the people behind this. I'm sure you've been seeing and signing lots of petitions from lots of politicians. I have too. But this is independent of any political party or group. This is us making our voices heard.
