Nearly 500,000 animals that are tested on for the purpose of creating safe cosmetics die every year through cruel, inhumane mistreatment in labs all over the world. In fact, some of the most famous makeup brands that you might be familiar with (Maybelline, Benefit, Victoria Secret) test their products on animals that are killed after their health has been depleted by such treatment. Despite the strikingly large number of animals present that are being tested on every year, little is being done by the U.S. Congress to act upon the issue. Our petition is aimed at inquiring Congress about outlawing the sale of animal tested products within the U.S.
