Qualified Immunity is unfair, unjustifiable, and unaccountable: to make our police and government officials more accountable, it MUST be Abolished.

What is Qualified Immunity and how is it relevant in today's times? Qualified immunity is a legal doctrine created by the Supreme Court during the Civil rights movement, which shields police and other government officials from liability in civil rights lawsuits when the illegality of their actions is not "clearly established" at the time of the offense. 

What this means? 

• Police Officers and government officials do NOT have to be accountable for their actions.
• Public officials are held to a much lower standard. 
• It reduces a person's chance for a victory in a civil rights lawsuit; it means many cleans will never be brought to court in the first place.
