After hearing the latest development of my mom’s case, Senator Rubio's office has reached out to the State Department regarding my mother’s situation and raised concerns about the deprivation of visitation rights. They asked if the State Department could bring the matter to the embassy’s attention and if an embassy official could raise it in China. I'm looking forward to hearing back from the State Department.

I’ve been receiving tons of help from my congressman’s office and Senator Rubio’s office. In 2017, the CECC (Congressional-Executive Commission on China), chaired by Senator Rubio, listed my mom in the “Free China’s Heroes Initiative” before President Xi Jinping’s first visit to America.

Also, in the letter sent to President Trump in advance of his last trip to Beijing, Senator Rubio and Rep. Smith specifically requested that President Trump raise the case of my mother, among other political prisoners in his upcoming trip.
