PLEASE KEEP SIGNING AND SHARING:

You have a chance to help influence policy in the making. Today the Biden Administration announced that the U.S. will accept up to 100,000 Ukrainian refugees and others fleeing Russian aggression.

We do not yet know the details of these programs and how quickly refugees will be able to enter the United States. Now is a critical time to keep pushing to ensure that as these processes are formalized there is a focus on expediency in allowing refugees to enter the U.S. with streamlined processes in place.

Please continue to sign and share. We hope to declare this petition a victory very soon with your support!

@POTUS Thank you for announcing that new opportunities will become available for Ukrainian Refugees in the U.S. As these processes are formalized please help to ensure expediency of entry and streamlined application processes for these refugees. Change.org/RefugeesUkraine

More Info:

We would like to thank the Biden Administration for making the decision to accept up to 100,000 Ukrainian refugees and others fleeing Russian aggression. Thank you to the 100,000+ Change.org supporters who helped to make this change happen through signing, sharing, and urging the White House to accept Ukrainian refugees immediately. You helped President Biden and the Biden administration know how important this issue is to the American people who have seen their refugee family members flee their homes, leaving everything behind.  Those affected will be incredibly relieved to have their refugee families here with them in the U.S. to help them rebuild. We ask that as these processes are formalized, there is a focus on expediency in allowing refugees to enter the U.S. as they have truly been through enough.

Given that 3.7 million Ukrainians have now had to evacuate their homeland, 100,000 will still only make a small dent in the overall resettlement support needed. (We hope to have a better understanding on total impact as the various programs are announced.) Other countries like Canada have created programs with unlimited caps through their Emergency Travel Authorization. We know that over 1 million Ukrainian Americans live in the U.S., many of whom are very eager to help support their families who have lost everything. We ask that the Administration continue to monitor this refugee crisis and allow for additional entrance as needed while this war continues. Thank you very much for taking this important step and helping to reunite Ukrainian refugees with their families in the U.S. who can help them to rebuild.
