The military conducts sonar exercises which cause what we know as "the bends" in marine mammals. They not only become disoriented but in many cases die due to brain hemorrhaging. One California senator stated that investigations into this by the military found that the loss of life "is not that significant," but I think that hundreds of dolphins and whales dying is not insignificant (not to mention other life forms in the ocean that we may currently be unaware of). Unless we stand up to these abuses, how can our own species survive? If we continue with these abuses, should our species even survive? Please help save our marine friends...
