Recently a video was posted to Facebook of Jill and David Rodrigues of their children scaling the walls of Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St Augustine, Florida. Videos and photos were posted on the mothers Facebook and Instagram page and made viral on her own accord.

As soon as the mother was reprimanded by her followers of the unsafe act and defacement her children caused and could cause, climbing the fort walls (mind you in the video she is cheering them on in her Facebook video) she deletes the post. 

As a avid history lover, it sickens me to show such childish behavior from an adult.  I want to ensure that these protected lands remain "protected".

She had no concern for the safety of her children, scaling the fort walls. She rewarded this behavior. These types of acts should have dire consequences. If that means "banning" the Rodrigues' from National Parks and Monuments. So be it.

She has not issued a formal apology, and the Forts Facebook page was made aware of the videos through their Facebook page. They made a formal post reminding patrons of the park to NOT climb the fort walls. This is clearly prohibited. You should NOT have to remind an adult who should know better than the children or teenagers in her tow. 

Added to this petition in the update section also has a few pics of Gettysburg. The children are clearly sitting on top of a Canon for a photo op. 

Keep the Rodrigues clan out of and off of National Parks and Monuments.
