Next week, the second session of the 116th Congress will begin, and the Prevent All Soring Tactics (PAST) Act, which passed the U.S. House in July of 2019 by a vote of 333 to 96, needs action in order for the bill to pass the U.S. Senate.
We now have 52 cosponsors in the U.S. Senate out of 100 Senators, but we need you help to garner more. It's going to take at least 60 Senate cosponsors in order for the bill to receive a hearing this year. Please take action at this link: https://secure.everyaction.com/y6sQMj1VC0yMROSfwQZPjQ2 and ask your U.S. Senators to cosponsor the PAST Act, S. 1007, that is supported by the Animal Wellness Action, the American Horse Council, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, and United States Equestrian Federation.
