This man was upset with his girlfriends 5 pound poodle cause she had an accident. The Vet didn't think the dog would make it, but she pulled through. When owner came home she found her dog with smashed teeth, bruised ears and blood in her urine. The dog could not even move. The prosecutors asked for the max but the judge did not agree. The max is 5 years in prison. The judge gave him 3. Too many are getting away with their crimes without paying the max and some get away with a slap on the hand. A lot of these abusers also have had criminal records where they got a lesser time. I am going to paste directly what was in the article here. Maybe he should had a psychological evaluation and complete and anger-management before now, after all he was violence before. Anyhow these laws have to change in order for our animals to have some protection and justice. Nothing against the employees doing their job, but there are way too many animals being abused and/or killed and it has to be stopped.
