I find it appalling that Arlington National Cemetery no longer allows the use of lithochrome paint to mark the headstones of our veterans just to save a lousy penny. Yes, the cemetery is getting overcrowded, but our dying veterans should not pay the price when they are asked to participate in wars, only to come home in a box and be identified with cheaper (that, too) headstones with vague markings. They should also not be paying for the past mismanagement of the cemetery. My father was a WWII officer who suffered tremendous hardship in a German POW camp. Is this all he'll get when he passes? Give our veterans the respect they deserve!
