In an underhanded effort Keep Sedona Beautiful is attempted to railroad through a re-designation effort to turn Sedona and the Verde Valley into a National Monument. We all know that this would lead to less access for mountain bikers and all other user groups. Local support is 4 to 1 against this effort, but there are some strong stake holders pushing it through under the 1906 Antiquities Act which only requires a Presidential signature.
