The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recently said that they would permit elephant and lion trophies to be brought into the U.S. on a case-by-case basis. They provided very little information about how case-by-case decisions would be made, leaving a lot of wiggle room for trophy hunters. Allowing animal trophies to be brought into the U.S. could cause elephant and lion populations to deteriorate, potentially dealing lasting damage to the species' numbers.

Banning elephant and lion trophies in the U.S. will discourage Americans from trophy hunting because they have nothing legal to do with the trophies, leading to less animals being killed, helping elephant and lion populations increase. If a change doesn't happen, the species could be looking at extinction by 2050. The Fish and Wildlife service are the only people who can ban animal trophies in the U.S. Please sign this petition and demand that the FWS make a change to save elephants and lions and work towards preventing their potential extinction.
