Urge The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission To Prosecute Man For Beating A Deer With A Book
The Issue
Urge the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to prosecute 3 men for repeatedly hitting a deer in the face with a large accounting book while the dear was already injured
Recent video posted online shows the a man beating a deer in the face with a large book. The man was with some friends on a hunting trip to Arkansas when their SUV ran into a deer.
The men thought the deer was dead, so they loaded it up into the SUV. As they continued down the road, the deer regained consciousness. Once the deer regained consciousness the video shows the man beating the deer several times in the face with a large book. The men in the car all appear to laugh as the deer wails in pain.
Video of the incident can be seen here. Warning this video may be disturbing

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is now looking into the incident.
According to a statement released from the Arkansas Fish and Game Commission, "the individual seen beating the deer could be charged with a misdemeanor, fined up to $1,000 and receive up to a year in jail under Arkansas’s criminal animal cruelty law. He also could be charged with an AGFC violation of wanton waste of the deer and fined up to $2,500."
The Commission also said the other three people could be facing criminal violations of aiding and abetting in the incident. Those violations carry a fine of $250.
Let the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission that the senseless beating of a defenseless animal will not be tolerated and finding humor in torture is disgusting and disturbing. Also let the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as well as The US Fish and Wildlife Service know that this act is beyond a misdemeanor and these men should receive a much harsher penalty than " a fine"
