Dear Adam Durand, Deputy Chief of Staff for US Representative Mike Thompson,
The short TikTok video below shows a person being blinded by LED headlights. At the end, the video says, "Brought to you by NHTSA". This message is exactly correct. Ann Carlson, Acting Director of NHTSA, is the person who has done this to us. Acting Director Carlson has known about the LED headlight crisis for years, and yet she is doing nothing about it. LED headlights have not been vetted or approved by NHTSA, and yet Ann Carlson just sits there at her fancy desk, collecting her salary, while the rest of us are having our lives put in danger by Ms. Carlson's inaction.
When will Ann Carlson be kicked out and somebody brought in to run NHTSA who knows how to hold the automobile manufacturers accountable for selling vehicles with unsafe LED headlights?
