Dear Supporters,
Today, the Royal Automobile Club in the UK published the Baroness Hayter LED headlight report on their website. (https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/news/motoring-news/drivers-demand-government-action-to-reduce-glare-from-car-headlights/). This is a significant milestone in our efforts to alert the public that LED headlights are hazardous and dangerous.
In the US, there are two regulatory bodies for LED headlights: NHTSA and the FDA. Both agencies have failed to publish performance standards for LED headlights and neither agency has held the automakers accountable for their failure to petition for and receive approval to sell vehicles with LED headlights.
The Soft Lights Foundation has notified numerous organizations such as the IIHS, AAA, Center for Auto Safety, news media, and government officials about this publication by the RAC. This action is a big deal because this RAC report counteracts the industry and government narrative that LED headlights are just "misaligned".
Sincerely,
Mark Baker
