On September 23, 2023, the Soft Lights Foundation submitted a request to NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation to investigate the auto industry's switch to LED headlights.  This is a major new initiative that incorporates your comments and signatures and NHTSA's previous rejections of our efforts to have NHTSA take action on LED headlights.  The letter is addressed to Cem Hatipoglu who took over as Director of NHTSA ODI in June, 2023 after the previous Director Stephen Ridella left NHTSA to work for the auto industry.  You may read the 5 page letter here:
