Dear Supporters,

We submitted our petition to publish performance standards for LED products to the FDA on June 12, 2022, exactly one year ago.  The FDA has done nothing other than to say that they are "working diligently."  It seems that the FDA's understanding of the word 'diligently' means 'to do nothing'.

Today I submitted a letter to the FDA notifying them of their failure to comply with 21 U.S.C. 360ii and liaise with NHTSA to publish performance standards for LED headlights, and that the Soft Lights Foundation has exhausted all administrative remedies.  (http://www.softlights.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/One-Year-After-Petition.pdf).  I copied leadership for NHTSA, DOE, Access Board, FDA, and Senator Maria Cantwell in the letter.
